My daughter is a big Beatles fan. It seems like that there has been a re-emergance of the Beatles in the younger generation. That seems to speak volumes about the impact of the Beatles.

Now don't tell the kid, but I found a couple of prints, one of the FAB 4 and one of Georga Harrison shaking hands with Bob Marley, and I had them matted and framed for her for Christmas.

Hard to believe it's been 30 years since he passed. I hate missing what he'd have done next. He was only 40. What a loss

I saw Paul McCartney last year at the new Cowboys stadium in Arlington. I can't help but think how much more amazing it would have been if John would have been there to join him on stage. The possibilities are endless.

I was living in NYC down in the Village when it happened. Terrible, terrible shock.

Some time later there was a gathering of thousands of people in Central Park near the Dakota. The crush was so huge the city was running express trains and stopping them at the proper local station for everybody to get off. There were huge speakers playing Lennon's music and the plan ( IIIRC announced by Yoko ) was that there was to be a minute's silence at noon in memoriam. Just before noon they played Imagine, which ended on the stroke of noon. All you could hear afterward was muffled crying throught the immense crowd; the cold wind sighing through the trees; and the whup-whup of the news heliocopters circling overhead. What a memory.

I think the spot later became Strawberry Fields.

Johns' greatest claim to fame was hooking up with Paul ...

No reasonable argument about it, WHATSOEVER!

(but we could argue, and I can support my position ... )

Nothing else matters but how I raise my children ... and their opinion of me, as a father.

Ya think he woulda been different with his own boy.

Not my story his boy said it to{Julian}.

Watching his "lost weekend" he could have been spending time with his son.

His role model in his early years was who? It took him a while to learn what not to do and then he was murdered...just as he was getting it right.
