WLAN is automatically on, how can I change this?

    Dear Experts

where do I change the setting for WLAN at Power on in Windows 7? At the moment, it is automatically on when the machine boots.

On notebooks and netbooks there is usually a manual switch or a soft switch (function key combination, usually) that enables or disables the wireless network adapter. If you switch it off, the state is generally retained on reboot.

What are you doing about it?

No expert, but my gateway notebook has a switch right next to my right wrist. On the edge of the computer. I accidentally turned it off once, took 45 minutes on the phone to a tech in India to flip it the other way.

Forgot to say that you can just disable the adapter in the control panel if it's something you don't need much/ever; turning it back on is equally simple.

What are you doing about it?
