Bob, sorry to miss your post. What do you want to know?

Just what I was looking for, pictures of Mirror 16's. Built mine back in the early 70's up in NH. But it got destroyed. Been looking for any pictures, drawings etc of the 16. I'm currently sailing an RC Mirror Dinghy in my senior years but would love to build a model of the 16. Unfortunately the plans were never published as far as I can tell. It's not even mfg. anymore which is a shame.
Do you have the brochure or the manual?

Hi Bob - well I did have all that stuff. Oddles (sp?) of it as a matter of fact, but it all went with the boat, which now lives in Vancouver, BC! However I think the current owner would be more than willing to provide copies of relevant pages for you, and somewhere I have his email address, so let me see what I can do for you.

This one has survived crashing, while full of water, into a breakwater (NO, This did not involve me!) while my family were the owners (extensive surgery was required...) and then with Dan, whacking a bit of floating timber out there, which required more large repairs. They are a wee bit fragile, LOL.

I see you've done some looking in other places (a google search on mirror 16 popped you out, some interesting  links on that search, LOL). This one looks intersting, you might want to poke thru these links: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22Mirror+dinghy%22&btnG=Google+Search

Good luck on that, and I'll chase down Dan.

Ed, I would be interested in the Mirror l6 data too, if I can piggyback on Bob P's request. When I was a kid we had the shorter Mirror (we called it a 10-foot).

Cheers, Chris.

Loaned my Mirror 16 to a friend. He was sailing on Lake Cochituate in Natick and as he was about to pull the boat out, a speed boat came by and threw a wake that lifted the boat up and sent it crashing down on the trailer, puncturing the water tight tanks. He quickly yanked boat up on the trailer and all the water in the tanks tore aft and took out the transom. It was beyond repair. Ended up selling the sails, rig, fittings and trailer to a guy building a 16 footer. Boat went to the dump. The friend gave me a Nikon camera. I think I recovered the cosat of the kit.
