We never claimed that stupidity was in the sole possession of the Repubs... there's PLENTY of "stupid" to go around. It's just that Repub stupidity has a malignant tang to it....

I have a suspicion also that the Democrats connived and somehow helped this Angle character get the Republican nomination for Senate here in Nevada just to keep that sorry Harry Reid in office.

The problem isn't that they're Democrats. The problem is that they're Southern.

You do, of course, realise that this is South Carolina.

Stupidity & total ignorance is completely bipartisan. (I'm being nice here, I don't want to get banned)

Forward to 4:30 if you don't want to watch the whole thing.

If further proof is needed you can find it right here....Columbia Craigslist Rants & Raves (http://columbia.craigslist.org/rnr/), pick one. (Caution: the chances are it will be NSFW for racism, language & quite possibly pornography)

Florida right now contends to be the champion producer of ignorant bigoted Democrats. Apparently the Governor had to bail on the Republicans, but did not join the Democrats, because, apparently, in Florida . . .

Gov. Charlie Crist, meanwhile, said he agreed with the president's view about religious freedom.

``I know there are sensitivities and I understand them,'' he said after meeting with Obama in Panama City about the oil disaster. ``This is a place where you're supposed to be able to practice your religion without the government telling you you can't.''

Crist is running for U.S. Senate as an independent, having left the Republican Party, and his views could appeal to Democrats.

But some Democrats in Florida were sharply critical of Obama. ``President Obama has this all wrong,'' said Jeff Greene, who is running for U.S. Senate. ``Freedom of religion might provide the right to build the mosque in the shadow of ground zero, but common sense and respect for those who lost their lives and loved ones gives sensible reason to build the mosque someplace else.''

Alex Sink, Florida's CFO and Democratic candidate for governor: ``It is my personal opinion that the wishes of the 9/11 victims' families and friends must be respected. They are opposed to this project and I share their view.''

Rick Scott, one of the Republicans in the gubernatorial race, was the first to criticize Obama, calling his stance ``shameful and the act of a cowardly politician.''

Scott's GOP rival, Attorney General Bill McCollum, said, ``It is simply symbolically wrong at a time when we're at war.''

In the Senate race, Republican Marco Rubio said, ``It is divisive and disrespectful to build a mosque next to the site where 3,000 innocent people were murdered at the hands of Islamic extremism. I strongly disagree with President Obama and Charlie Crist.''

Yes - the dang democrats ran up the deficit for $1 trillion when Reagan started, all the way up to $11 trillion when Bush finished! They were behind the scenes causing all those fiscally responsible republicans to act crazy!

The problem here is(for me)that I can't always tell when someone is being sarcastic in text. And I've misplaced my list of who is a Democrat, and who is a Republican.

I believe this is simply a "what's good for the generalization goose, is good for the generalization gander' thread. In that sense, it's spot on.

No doubt, but remember this is the state that can't quite figure out how to operate a voting machine, or that recycling makes sense, or that some people actually might prefer to walk 200 feet instead of driving, or that living 1 mile from the Gulf, you might want to live in a place where you're allowed to park a boat on a trailer, or that you might want to live in a place where you can park your truck that has a business name on it.... OK, I'll shut up - except one last thing: This is Florida!!!!

Ah...yes....Florida.....Where you can carry a machine gun in public, walk into a restaurant with it and place it on the table while you order.......where you can go to your corner newsstand for your daily fix....where you can buy bulk "party materials" on special order just about anywhere and the local leo looks the other way.
