We've got a blues festival coming up in September, and a few folks 'round the office are getting together to play at lunchtime on a couple of days. Then we'll take it outside, and do an impromptu thing just outside our office's front door, for passersby.

We've got some good rhythm guitarists, but nobody confident enough to play lead guitar - so I'll be doing most of the soloing on keyboard. If you were gonna walk past, what piano-based blues tunes would you want to hear?

Not necessarily "piano based", but I've always liked the Allman Bro's jazzy chord version of T-Bone Walker's Stormy Monday—not too boring for the rhythm guitar players either.

"Memphis Stomp" from "The Firm". "Jelly, Jelly" by the Allman Brothers Band (featuring a really nice chromatic walking chord sequence worked into the 1-4-5 blues progression).

"Jumping at Shadows" - old Dusty Bennett song wonderfully done by Peter Green / Fleetwood Mac in 1970:

A worthy contender for the n 1 spot on this thread (Down the road a piece, post n 5 by Peter Radclyffe) !

Id only heard the Rolling Stones mid-60s version of this number.

The blues had a much larger following in the UK than in its native US, and people like Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood etc., and of course, the Stones, drew their inspiration from the blues across the pond.

So be prepared to see some native (or expat) Brits to show their wares on this thread !
