Up a lazy river by the old mill run
The lazy, lazy river in the noon day sun
Linger in the shade of a kind old tree

trout fishing on the Big Manistee, about 20 miles upstream from the lake

Gonna do a Lake Michigan salmon charter this weekend too.

Sounds like a thoroughly proper fishing trip you have planned. Goodluck!

Well, I certainly hope that you released that poor little minnow. Took my Visa Card to Bass Pro Shop today, went up to the fishing counter, told the man I was going trout fishing on the Big Manistee, about 20 miles upstream from the lake, and to set me up with a quality spincasting reel and rod to match. Got some new Rapala and Mepps lures while I was there. Been out in the yard practicing some precision casting, getting used to the tip flex. Gonna do a Lake Michigan salmon charter this weekend too.4 miles downstream of my creek is Priest Lake, 22 miles long glacial lake, very deep. Big Lake trout in the forty pound rage there. I have more fun searching the back feeder streams and stalking the Bull, Brook, and small trout with my fly rod. Catch and release unless I get lucky and get a 1 lb or more. More likely to see a grizzly or moose than a big fish.

The Internet is everywhere.

Sometimes the fishing has to be put on hold. Joe CSOH knows what I am talking about.

there are two trout in the photo... thats what polarized glasses will do for you !
The other one is about 8 inches long [that is,if the first one is 4 inches]
