This stuff is getting certifiably insane.

NEAR HAYFORK, Calif. -- Nearly 46,000 marijuana plants were eradicated from the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, in according to Trinity County officials.

Law enforcement agents from the U.S. Forest Service, Trinity County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force and the California Department of Justice all participated in the raids the week of July 5th.

Officers conducted marijuana eradication operations at six sites near Hayfork.

Officials say Gauldry Almonte-Hernandez, a displaced foreign traveler from Mexico, was arrested after attempting to flee one area while officers were getting into a marijuana garden, where 7,500 plants were found.

Euphemisms are ever so amusing. For instance, I like to refer to Limbaugh as an "Indefagitable raconteur" instead of "Long-winded blowhard." It's a little nicer.

The insane part is the utterly failed War on Drugs and the crime that Prohibition fosters, right? No one would need to be invading or clandestinely planting in National Forest Lands if this prolific weed was legalized, regulated and taxed just like liquor and cigarettes. What an utter waste of time and money!

That and no matter who we elect the madness continues, at least the DEA has been told to stand down on medical grass.. that's a start.
