Literally. I'm in the barn with Kyle waiting for our dairy goat, Casual Elegance, El for short, to kid. She's looking pretty big, definitely has twins, and maybe triplets. We're dodging mosquitoes, and trying not to let the other goats drool on the keyboard. More as we know it...

One side benefit, we know that the wireless signal reaches about a hundred feet from the house!!

I have fond memories of 'helping' our nanny deliver. Goats can be a huge PIA, but there is something sweet, endearing, and life-affirming about brand new ones.

The first one was a buckling. Waiting for number two, and maybe number three. This'll probably all be old hat after a while, but El is
our first to deliver, so we're hovering. Back to the barn.

I had to look up buckling (young male) hope he's OK and not buckled as I first suspected.

Well, it seems to be done, the count was just the one buckling. Hard to build up a dairy herd when you aren't getting any does!!
