I had a thread from this forum bookmarked. It had a lot of photos from Asia, Taiwan , I believe.

There were a whole bunch of photos of smallish water community boats, some small shanty boats, barges loaded to within inches of sinking, folks with a boat loaded with fruits and vegies selling them on the water, and a few of guys apparently rowing with their feet.

There were some very interesting examples of life on the water.
That thread has apparently been removed.

I was wondering if someone might have some links to galleries of this sort.

No pix, but a bit of horrifying reading here re river communities. There's a program afloat (grin) for floating toilets but the numbers are small.
