Anyone out there familiar with lead scuppers? We're looking for six foot or so of lead pipe to replace the destroyed ones. Is this material still available outside semi-black market plumbing supply sources? There are not too many boatyards left where we can scavenge this kind of scrap. Just curious...

Have you tried Home Depot? I know they have sheet lead, but I am not sure about pipe.

Roofing suppliers, around here at least, continue to carry lead flashing material and (soil breather) pipes.

Do you mean real scuppers, like a hole through the bulwarks above water line, or drains with a pipe leading to a hole in the hull which may be above or below the water line?

Would these lead pipe scuppers be on a Trumpy? They used lead pipe scuppers. Other than trying to keep the vessel as original as possible why would you want to go back with lead pipe? Finding someone who can install lead pipe scuppers will be, as hard as finding a body shop that will repair your car using lead instead of bondo
You may find lead pipe on an old vessel that is being scraped. I’m not sure but I believe that Turning Point, a 1938 motor sailor that was built by Mathis Yacht has lead pipe scuppers. I was only aboard for a quick look so I’m not sure, as I did not take notes. The last I knew of, she resides on the bottom of the St. Johns River at Green Cove Springs Marina and has been down for some time. My not be a good example for having lead thru hulls at or near the waterline.

While not familiar with the application with respect to sizes. Lead pipes are a key component of large church organs. You may try looking up organ repair contractors as a posible source of supply. There is such a company in Burlington Ontario. There should be one or two such companies down in the USA.
