I've planed to put on two layers of neat epoxy to seal the fairing before I put on the 2pac urethan primer.
My problem is that those two coats of epoxy would need at least 3 days before they harden enough for final sanding and preparation for the primer. That would slow me down a whole week!
My quiestion is: Can I put on the primer directly on the epoxy after say 4 hours of hardening?
I realise the primer might wrinkle since the substrate would not be 100% solid. But my hope is that the wrinkles would sand out quite easely. This way I could cut out the sanding and washing needed to avoid epoxy blush problems.
The goal is to come faster to the point where I can prepare for the urethan paint.
