What fun to see an article about one of your online friends in our favorite magazine. :)
Congrats. Lets hope it leads to more commissions. You're coming to Mystic, right? See you there.

He'd better - we can buy him beer now. :D

Already a beer snob, eh? Welcome to the club. I'll bring a hand picked selection of Maine microbrews to the party for you to celebrate the WB article. :D

When I saw the SRR article I hoped to make it into one of the pics but no joy. :(

I don't know about that - seems Scot has been starting a small caption contest....

When and where is the party? I will have my girlfriend along for you all to meet. We will be at the Oughtred dinner, and and otherwise pretty free to see and do whatever when the show is not open. We are arriving Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday night.

The party is at Doug(mrleft8) and Carter's house on Friday night after the Show. Sure to be a fun time. Bring your instruments if you play any.

It seems Matt Murphy's Editor's Page is all about a certain young boatbuilder from W. Virginia, too. :D

If I didn't know you, Timm, I'd worry about your head fitting through the door at Lefties. ;)

If I zoom into that image I can almost read the text..... you are so mean, Steven!

I am very excited about getting the mail tomorrow!

The spottiness is the reflection of the concrete floor, I hope...

Lots to do before the show, but I will make it!

Timm,

Congrats on the ink. That little power boat looks like a sweetie. Painting is so gratifying, after all the grunt work to get it ready.

Congratulations Timm,

Also drinks and such on the porch at the Whaler Inn before the Oughtred Dinner on Saturday. Hope to see you there as well as at Doug and Carter's.

Cool! Congratulations! (Should be good for business, no?)

Do they know where Fallen Spring, er . . . Renick is at? Do they realize it is not near Richmond? ;) :D

The Vixen looks nice!

BTW, Happy West Virginia Day, from one mountaineer to another.

Timm,

Looking forward to the article but it's not here yet. I'm not able to come to the WB show this year but hope you have success there. You could take a look at Graham Byrnes award winner power skiff which will be there. I will be working with him tomorrow to help finish off a few things to get the boat on the road in time.

What is the idea behind the unusual steering station and shelter on Vixen?

Timm,

What is the idea behind the unusual steering station and shelter on Vixen?

The shelter is from the plans and the high seat and center steering console was the owner's idea to maximize visibility. We launched the boat on lake Winnipesaukee after the show and it does 45 mph with four people and about 50 top end high just one person. It is very fast!
