I mean Antonio. Anyone one out there ever seen the Small? Diaz's web page is at

http://www.diasdesign.com/sma.html

Bill Clements built a few of these ( www.boatbldr.com (http://www.boatbldr.com) ). Anyone know much about the design? it's pluses/minusus'?

I saw this boat and spoke briefly with the builder at the Annapolis boat show in 1999. Pretty boat, well built, beamy, looked like it would stand up well in a breeze. It gave the impression of being bigger than 14'.
No rides available, unfortunatly. http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb/wink.gif

I see from the website that Jenny Bennet commissioned a Small Boat. Last I heard, you could reach Jenny through WoodenBoat. Why don't you try reaching her and report back. The photos and drawings look like a very nice design.

Does anyone know which country Antonio Diaz is from? If he is American does anyone now where his family originated from?

Tony is a native. Years ago he and Eric Dow ran "Dow & Diaz" in Maine. He went solo and built/designed boats in the Hudson River Valley. He moved to Narraganset, RI 3 or so years ago and has done strictly design work since. He does have a nice portfolio of plans, as well as a website & e-mail. I will try to find his URL tonight. Maybe Portuguese? Rick
