Interesting, but perhaps a bit overpriced. It's a double compound. The question is who built it (the quality of machining is everything in a steam engine) and what shape it's in. An 18' launch doesn't leave much room for anything once you put a boiler and fuel stowage aboard. A lot of small steamers use similar engines, which were originally built as auxilliary pump and generating engines on larger steam vessels.

Blackstaffe designed some good gear, and was one of the early hobby suppliers. Obviously can't comment on how good that individual engine is, but the design will be ok. Most steamers in the 18 foot size range have purpose built engines as cast offs from marine and industrial plants are too big.
