Comments that have been attributed to the owner/builder of this craft have been, and I paraphrase, "She is built to go through the waves instead of over them." I hope all hands are braced for impact the first time she attempts to "punch through" a wave of significant size.

I leave the calculations to the naval architechts, but we are not talking about an arrowhead going through jello here. Any craft carrying sufficient mass to operate in this manner would almost certainly be too heavy to float. Just my opinion - as built, she might do fine in calmer sea states.
