I have an ancient Bedford 330 that finally lowered the boom on me. The injector pump appears to have "given it's last measure of devotion".
Does anyone have a lead on Bedford parts in the US? I haven't been successful in locating one so far.
Thanks for any ideas you might have - Chris
Bedford spent some time as part of GM, is there any compatibility?

My mechanic said not in this case, although I am open to more optomistic answers...

Is this not a C.A.V. or Lucas/CAV standard part?

aloha , shoudn,t be too hard too find parts in canada... I used to rebuild them back in the eighties for a company called british rebuilt diesel, but I ,m not sure they are still in business.. still vancouver should have some sources for parts , check the yellow pages... I think they were great motors and I,m sure they still have loads in trucks still in england, unless the enviroment guys shut them down... probably lots of part places over there to contact... another great engine I used to rebuild were the gardners.. beautiful engines!!!lgood luck..derrick

aloha ,,forgot to mention , if its just the injection pump, any fuel injection shop can rebuld it, whether its inline or rotary style.. just standard parts generally ..derrick

here Bedford parts come through the Izuzu network....google Izuzu Bedford... I am assuming the Bedford we are talking about is the British Leyland Austin Rover conglomerate, UK 1970s ....?

Thanks for the replies, lads. In the end I've come up with an almost-new (700 hours) John Deere 4045. More than adequate HP, decent fuel economy, and a lot easier to find parts for.
If you run across anyone who needs a bedford or parts, let me know, I have some spares plus whats on the engine. I'd rather see them go to a good home than store them or scrap them. Another troller up on the Columbia just pulled his bedford too. With any luck, I can get this wrapped up by the end of June and be on the tuna grounds in July...
