Back in the States, finally. Sixteen hour flight from Dubai to Atlanta, now 5 more to Seattle.

Nice to be somewhere (starting in Dubai) where the locals don't want to kill you, or turn you into the Taliban. :)

Welcome Back!

I think he means 'turn over to', not 'turn into'......but Brian seems fairly open-minded so I could be wrong.

Brian......I probably shared my tea and rations with some of the folks that you think are trying to kill you now. I may have even trained them....if so they are good shots from a long way away....if they have the equipment. If they are using Russian gear, it was made to work...not to work well, so you may be in luck.

Soldiers coming home is always a wonderful thing. Most of us can't even imagine the joy of homecoming after so long away.

I am very happy that you are home safely, Brian. I hope to meet you in Mystic.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here that breaths a sigh of relief when you get back from these little jaunts. We'll all breath another one when Chad comes back.

Welcome back Brian. I'm glad to hear you're still wearing your topknot. Gonna have time to wet a line, drop a few pots, haul some butt?

Saving Private Ryan. There is no finer or more touching American film about our men at war, and hardly any finer American films, period.

Yes, Chads homecoming will be alot better, he's pulling a much longer hitch. Hopefully it will be his last.

Welcome home, Turkey.....
Bad news next door. Lady and two teenage daughters moved in 3-4 months ago to be near her parents while hubby was deployed. As I pulled into the driveway (Ms Murphy at the wheel) my spare spot was taken......It seems that they got some very bad news this morning sometime after I left for the clinic. I called the ladies auxiliary at our local legion chapter.
