Nice! What kind of boat is she?

Dove is a 1946 William Atkins Active III dory ketch. I got her from another forum member Joe CSOH...hmmm three years ago?

Wow, checked Dove today, and she is very very dry. Man, I hate leaky boats, and this year, we have slain the elusive wetty dragon.

Very nice, Peter. Sure looks like she's found the right home.

I have no sense of scale from the pics but she looks big.
Length and beam, if you please, sir...?

I'm gonna guess she's about 4 and a half feet wide and 16 - 17 feet long.

Very nice. I forget what you do over the summer Peter. Do you keep her in the water.... what do you do for a season berth? ( I remember a shot alongside your big boat).

A fine job you've done there with her Peter and with the weather going the way it has,not to mention the water levels, I think she'll get alot of good use too!

Cheers!

Congratulations Peter. Dove looks great. (And your sailing partner.)

Is the goose neck original? It has a little LFH look to it.

90% of the hardware is original, including the goosenecks, which are riveted onto the sitka booms, and screwed.

Dimensions were correct...!!! Dove is 16'7 inches long and about 45 inches wide at her widest point.

Yep, Dove gets wetsailed... sits beside Vanora, the CC cruiser all summer. Dove just got measured for boom flys and sailcovers, I will post a pic when they're done.

Thanks Guys!! We love Dove... She gets a lot of use, and is a very simple boat to sail

One thing to mention: I have put new running rigging on Dove in Langetouw Hemp from Holland.... they have made traditional hemp rope for 150 years. R&W rope warehouse sells it. EXCELLENT traditional hemp. Very tight, and superb quality

I have buffed most of the bronze on my own buffing machine... came up beautiful.
