I have read about this chemical as a coupling agent for epoxy and vinyl ester resins for improved bond strength.
I can't however get beyond the technical aspects of the discussions and find anyone that supply's the resins and the HMR coupling agent.
It may solve some of the problems associated with epoxy and white oak.
Has anybody researched this and been able to find a source and worked with it?

Only looked at one study of many which came up on Google; white oak was not a species tested. Various soft woods (some were true "softwoods"; some were true "hardwoods," but soft mechanically) were tested, and improvement in resistance to delamination was noted, reducing delam from "40-50 % to 4-5%" or so, numbers varying somewhat, depending on the species. One puzzlement in their methodology, or perhaps their testing, is tha doug fir was one of the species: anybody noting failures of properly prepared epoxy/doug fir joints? Could be their study blows, so to speak.

Question: OK, so the stuff helps. Are you going to trust an arrangement which "only" has a failure rate of 4% to hold your hull together? Not me!

I'd guess the difficulty of obtaining the stuff speaks volumes about its efficacy (i.e., it ain't!). I suspect 60 grit is a better aid, and cheaper , also!
