Well, I've read through the book and looked at the single sheet of "plans" (there are two but one is sail plan only). I'm not in the humor to break my butt building a boat without plans. I guess I bought the idea and some blue sky.

Phillip, I think it depends on your comprehension. Which tender is it? You really only need to enlarge the cross sections and draw out the stem full size, transfer to your lumber and assemble as per the dimensions given on the plan or translate the distances by scale rule.

My single sheet instructs me to "scale the print". As I have spent my life in construction (masonry), I know what plans are supposed to look like and one never scales the prints if it can be avoided.
