We've been having work nights on Ponder, a 23' AR True Rocket from 1957, at my shop. Tonight 3 guys showed up and we set to work installing the new floorboards and centerboard trunk table leaves. Also some sanding, and some shortening of chain on the boomkin....then another guy shows up late. He felt bad so he brought a six pack of Geary's. As it was getting dark we were sitting in the cockpit imbibing when one of the guys hears a woodcock....which led to an expedition onto the neighboring golf course in search of the funny sounding bird. We got pretty close to him, judging by how loud his "beeping" call was. Got a glimpse of him once.....

What a nice night.

And don't forget, while we were trying to hear the beeping of the woodcock, the loons were laughing up a storm in the pond. It was a nice relaxed evening, I had a good time.
