Lake Pend Oreille, Northern Idaho.

I just took a ride down to the lake to check on the water level. Looks like about 3 more feet to bring it up to the full summer pool level, which should happen over the next few weeks.

The new floats are in at the new Sandpoint marina, safely tucked behind the new breakwater. I plan to launch around the beginning of June and sail every dang day if I can.

The lake is 65 miles long, 1200 feet deep, with three major river systems. Sailboat races every Thursday evening right in front of town.

I live on the lake (actually on Sagle slough just south of the bridge), and
I agree, it's about 3 feet low still... maybe a bit less. My mooring buoy is floating, but not vertical yet.

It was coming up nice and fast for a few weeks, and then it slowed way down.

Talked to the ACOE coordinator. They're actually deliberately slowing down the inflow, and allowing more outflow at the moment... apparently some people are paranoid about flooding because of the heavy rains this spring...

Anyway, they say they'll have the lake up to normal level the week before memorial day weekend.
