Meadowlark in Carver, MA

I've found a Herreshoff Meadowlark for sale in Carver, MA, built in 1960 and I'm looking for someone in the area who would be willing to take preliminary look at it for me or who may be familiar with the boat.

Great boats when built as designed other than the fact that the lee boards need lengthing in order to give more grip.

You should be able to find a competent surveyor listed in your area. If not built correctly to the Herreshoff plans, the boats can suffer chine problems.

Get yourself a copy of the book SENSIBLE CRUISING DESIGNS that International Marine published about 40 years ago. It has a whole chapter on the Meadowlark. It was republished in 1991 and is still available from Barnes and Noble, or you can find used copies at www.abebooks.com
