She & James Taylor did a concert here in Auckland recently. Brilliant reviews.

Have you seen the movie "Grace of My Heart"? Illeana Douglas, John Turturro. Loosely based on CK & the Brill Building. Pretty good stuff, IMO.

She's a fine lyricist. A voice and music maker.

So far away, doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're just time away

Long ago I reached for you and there you stood
Holding you again could only do me good
How I wish I could, but you're so far away.

One more song about movin' along the highway
Can't say much of anything that's new
If I could only work this life out my way
I'd rather spend it bein' close to you.

But you're so far away, doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're so far away

Oh, so far away

Travelin' around sure gets me down and lonely
Nothin' else to do but close my mind
I sure hope the road don't come to own me
There's so many dreams I've yet to find

But you're so far away, doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore?
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
And it doesn't help to know that you're so far away.

A pretty good modern lament.

Ahhh.... Brings back memories of good times.

Her hit I Write The Songs was great: "I write the songs that make the young girls cry / I am 'Music' and I write the songs."

But I think my absolute favorite of hers is Randy: "Well you came and you gave without taking / But I sent you away, oh Randy."

While having grammar police is important, I'd suggest that you take a look at some other posts. Seafox is a great example. The your/you're issue will pale beside what you see.

Ewe may want to rethink taking on this role...... ;)
