Every now and again being on the west coast has an advantage. If you stay up late you might get to be among the first to wish a happy birthday to somebody you like!

Happy Birthday Jim!

Thanks, one and all. You're a great bunch, yanno.

It's been a great day, near perfect weather, everything blooming, fantastic. Just the kind of Spring day that makes you want to clean the basement, You know what I mean? Not just push a few things from here to there, but actually re-stow the hold. Hoist everything on deck and sort it out, make piles, find lost things, throw out half-empty cans of paint. Still at it actually, not quite finished, and there's every indication that it might spread to the garage and shed. The three pillars of my kingdom, the trinity entire, sorted, organized, bronze screws in the bronze screw box, all the ten penny finish nails together once again, the odds and ends boxes empty, every one. In perfect equilibrium, if only for a nanosecond.

I'll try and finish in the morning.

Happy B-day, Jim. Sounds like you had a great day. I'm going through that cleaning out thing myself. Can be very satisfying, a wonderful way to spend the day.
