None of those lids look tight. You probably have to buy all new products.

Argon, Paul, gimme a break. .

Nitrogen (shakes head and walks away)...it's got to be heavier than air, besides, who's got a bottle of nitrogen laying around? Pretty much nobody, that's who. Not even inert, not that that means much to some folks.

I once attended a varnishing workshop by pcford. (At CWB's Home Built Boats Weekend.) He's is so obsessed that he doesn't even save partial containers at the end of a big job. He just tosses them and buys new ones for the next job. Doesn't even want to mess with old stuff.

I fill mine with argon...then throw them out.

Sorry Joe. You are likely going to have a bad case of seized gronicles, and I don't see anything in those two boxes that is going to help with the fix.

Speaking of which, I have a bunch of paint left over and need to find some glass jars with screw on lids or something to store it in. Cans dont keep it good for long. Any ideas?

But anyway I am well ahead of Joe and Norm :) Was going to go in last Sun. but this Sun. will do.

Sure, here's my recipe. Put the leftover material in screw top jar, then top them off from your argon bottle. Next spring, simply toss the lot.

Those half dead cans'll make fine endgrain sealer once you start milling yer own lumber.

If the cans seal tightly a dash of thinner on top before closing has worked for me in the past.
