Hey, it's my EBS shirt. Prevents ID problems. Besides, it's a cool shirt (http://www.topatoco.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TO&Product_Code=QW-WHALE&Category_Code=QW) in its own right.
Michael: yes, we're local, staying at the HI Hostel. Great Oysterband show last night and another one tonight - we're just about to hook up with a former bandmate of ours for some drinks and then head to the venue (the Carleton?) for snacks and more beer and more fabulous Oystermusic. Cheers!
The Carleton is a nice venue. If you haven't already, sample the Propeller beer. I like the Bitter, Maureen likes the Honey Wheat.
Did I send you my phone #'s?

Had some Propeller last night, the brown and the bitter - both very nice. Session at the Loose Cannon. Shouldn't have to resort to phone numbers but you did send them, thanks. Looking forward to tomorrow!

A very pleasant afternoon was spent at Maxwell's Plum sharing yarns and sampling some of the beer and food. It was really nice meeting Flying Orca, Oysta Girl and Mad Scientist. Thanks to MMD for driving:

Good to hear you made it home ok. A pleasure meeting you both.

As my home town weekly newspaper social column would conclude, "...and a good time was had by all."
Thanks everybody, it was nice meeting you.

Ah yes, what a great time!
An update to the story I told about that 'free' boat - ran into the owner later that day. He didn't have time to use it, and no longer has it.

Looks like fun.....But no fireworks?....

I couldn't find any place to buy them in downtown Halifax, and for some strange reason they wouldn't let me bring the fixin's on the plane. The CATSA guy really liked my shirt, though.

Yeah..... I seem to remember that Halifax had a bad experience with fireworks once.... Maybe that's why you couldn't find any.....
They have no problem with fireworks, Lefty; they just don't let 'em bring them in by boat anymore...

Pity you couldn't make it. I hope to be down around Mystic sometime soonish though; my uncle lives near there and has mooted the idea of some sailing this summer.

Wow that bites,I guess it'd be Bah Haba instead or another trip to The Bay of Fundy and beyond .It'd be nice to meet you and pick your musical head.Sailing we have.
They've reinstated the puddle-jumping airline, though. Not the same folks or plane, but at least you can fly from Portland to Yarmouth again.
