Well, after a long search, I finally found the WM Roller Furl I was looking for (thanks to RB Garr). Picked it up cheap on EBay. Well, ya gets what ya pay. It appears to have a broken spring, or whatever ya call it inside. It'll rotate back and forth, but won't roll back. Anybody ever take one of these things apart? Where to get it repaired? Parts? Or have a diagram?

There's no spring inside - it goes in and out from tugging on the sheets or the line going to the lower spool.
I found a used one that needed new bearings. Real simple to replace - take an example ball bearing to a bicycle shop - ten cents each - so it was super cheap to rebuild!
Here's a great read on the subject from Classic Marine:
http://www.classicmarine.co.uk/Articles/WMgear.htm
It tells how to use them and take them apart.

Took it apart tonight. Bearings are shot. So off to the bike shop tomorrow.
