Just go back from delivering my 1956 Runabout to it's new owner today. I sold The sailboat a year ago. I am now boat less, but that it OK.

I have been around for over 10 year now and find myself moving on. I have fond memories from the early years. Many people no longer with us.

More recently, I have stayed away due to an increasingly unfriendly atmosphere here, but that is also OK also.

To those of you whom are friends, stay so and keep in touch once in a while. I woud love to go out sailing here locally, if anybody is every needing and extra body on board.

Later. :)

If you are ever in Maine in Summer I'll take you out for a sail. No worries.

Saw your post on FB, must have been bittersweet.

We're not all acrimonious on here, don't be a stranger.

Enjoy what comes next. Don't shut the door behind you completely - leave it open a crack so you can peek in again sometime in the future. G'luck...

I enjoyed meeting you in Oly last year. Hard to imagine that - after all the work you put in a lovely restoration - you sold the runabout. But... life goes on. You gonna be at the show this year? I won't have a boat there, AFIK, but I might come up just to say hi to the Washington mob. Hope to see you there.

Well John,

It's time to drag out some of those dusty plans and get back to work. Some time on the water is still a good cure for forum blues. I hope all is well for you.

John,

Let's get out on Rita while I still have her. Stay in touch, and don't let the acrimony in the Bilge get to you. Taking up any new hobbies I might relate to? Cigars? Fast women?

What am I saying, I forgot...at our age, only the very slowest women can be captured! :D

The fun is in the chasing...its once you catch them the trouble starts. If I were you I wouldn't abandon here...just pick and choose what you reply too and keep your feet out of the bilge.

Thanks all. :)
Lew, I gave up smoking 1 1/2 years ago, don't drink and caught one of the slow ones.... ;) I would LOVE to go out on Rita! :) :)

Tom, yes I have a PILE of dusty plans, I had hopes, but they will probably stay dusty, at least for the near future anyway.

David, I will be at the show as a casual observer this year. Not sure what day or when yet...Oops, I take that back. I will be in Central Oregon camping over that weekend (Mother's Day). First time I have miised the show in about 9 years as a participant. I am looking forward to meeting Mom and Dad for the camping trip though. :)

Thanks and take care.
