I probably already know the answer to this one, but ...

I've been looking all over for some Sikaflex 291 to use in re-bedding the large fixed portlights on the doghouse. I could order online, but I'd love to have it this weekend. Westmarine said they had it, I drove 30 miles, all tubes listed 2/3/2010 as the "best by" date. WM person called Sika and someone there told her that as long as you can squeeze the tube and it hasn't hardened, then it should be fine. WM sold me four tubes for 6 bucks apiece (instead of their usual $20 each).

Now I look at the Sika website and the FAQs say not to use expired product. Called Sika back, but everyone's gone.

Anybody have any thoughts? WM said they'd take them back, and I'm thinking that's probably what I'll do... sigh.

Go ahead and use them. They are still good.

They are right, if the tube can be squeezed and is not hard, it is good. Sika don't want you to use expired product, they want to sell you "fresh" product ;)
