Here are some pictures of my soon to be fishing platform, a QT skiff designed by Jim Michalak. I decided to modify Jim's easy to build design with some cosmetic changes. Can't wait to launch this boat and see how she rows. It seems that everybody that sees her makes a positive comment- one guy asked if I could build him one just like it.

That's because F%$#$#$ass boatbuilders don't make a decent rowboat without charging a ziilion dollars... and hard to find to boot. That boat will row like a dream, or be wonderful with a 2 HP outboard. Good Job... If you build for someone else, don't give your time away... try pricing a fibreglass aluminum boat that size. ;)

Looks really nice. I like that treatment on the transom. Now mount some oarlocks and get her in the water!

Wonderful. Very clean and simple, great job! It is hard to tell with the white on white but are the thwarts level with the gunwale? I especially like the blue and white and the sharp paint lines. Congradulations.

Very nicely done! I love the caribbean feel to the colors! Congrats.
Indeed a cutie. Sweet colors, too, she'll look nice on the water.

I think that is the same design my Dad built a few years ago. It rows nice, however, in windy donditions, it needs some ballast, because it is a very light skiff.

Salty looking boat but I hope the glare of the white don't give you "snow blidness" . ;)

Thanks for all the comments, guys. maa. melee, yes the thwarts are inside the gunwales, attached with PL premium and #8x2 1/2 SS decking screws.
Like the builder of the Pooduck in the other thread, I'm already thinking about my next boat.
A catboat, maybe Bolger's Tinycat.... smile.gif
