Cool article and real cool idea the guy had to clean the parts. I will store the information in the back of my memory bank. Some day when I need to clean a piece of cast iron I will recall it, reverse electrolysis, as my own idea.

Mine looks pretty much like that.

Only in my case its 20 years of hard use that have brought it to such a state, and it has rusted through at the chimney. It has been bodged up with fire cement.

Somehow I think I need a new one...
