building update 03/2010

here's a couple of photos of the latest work on building "Katy".

laminated transom and number 9 frame ahead
transom is 2 layers of 1/2" PNG rosewood and will have another final outside layer of yello sirus which will brightworked.

running ribbands around hull
scented maple for ribs in foreground waiting to be ripped to size.
finished ribs are 2 laminations of 1 1/2" by 3/4"

Beautiful Bernadette! I hadn't even realized you had decided on a design & here you are already underway, you put most of the rest of us to shame. I think if you move half as fast as you seemed to with Decator you will be in the water by next summer. :)
