Salk, vintage brass vents come up on Ebay quite often - just be certain the base piece it screws into comes with it. You will need to construct your own dorade box as these are built to match the curve of the deck or cabintop you will be mounting it on.

Try Victory Marine. George Fisher ordered one for his 30 square meter Hansina.

He found two with ABI Marine Products but one was stolen, deck plate and all. ABI folded last year.

I need one myself.

We got our new bronze cowl vent at R&W in New Bedford.

Shop ebay regularly, the price new is somewhat horrendous if they are larger... Davies and co from the UK make them as well,(oops through R&W rope warehouse as noted) at the same price of small gold bars.

Though not authentic, P.E. Luke will fabricate whatever you want in this regard. The advantage is it will be the exact shape size and style that you want - ones the teak and brass petinas, it will look like it is authentic. They do a good job working with the age and style of boat.

I would also recommend P.E. Luke, East Boothbay, Maine. segmented copper or sheet bronze, very nicely done with matching deck plates.

They do show up on ebay!
