Along with herons they are the closest thing to flying dinosaurs. Neat.

Very common here in SW Florida. My boat charters are all with tourists, many who have never seen a Pelican. I'll spend some time explaining the birds, and when I'm through, the guests are amazed.

nothing more beautiful than a pelicans flying across wave tops near the beach. What a cool way to travel surfing the wind.

I 've seen them tied together in neck knots in Mexico. Saw one in the Puget Sound last year.They always do a 180 when they dive. Always pop up facing the other way. Always. Their poo is glue

Nah, not a sequence, unfortunately. That's two different pelicans diving -- though in the same place :-)
