I am building a Tammie Norrie, a 13.5 ft. rowing and sailing dinghy designed by Iain Oughtred. I've got the thwarts, knees and gunwales in, so I don't need the molds any more. It is a challenging project. It's come out very well so far, primarily due to Iain's very accurate and complete plans. I also found Iain's book, "Clinker Plywood Boatbuilding Manual" to be very valuable.
I'm located in downtown Toronto, Canada, where storage space is definitely at a premium. I'd like to keep the molds indefinitely, but my wife is growing rather impatient about them cluttering up the living room. Storing them outside isn't an option because they are particleboard and would disintegrate in the first rain. Rather than carting them off to the landfill, I'd like to give them away to somebody who is considering building the design. I have available:
- molds
- plank patterns door skin for all planks (door skin ply)
- patterns for floors (door skin ply)
- laminating jigs for stem and floors (MDF board)
If anybody is interested in picking these up, please send email to ianhgriggs@gmail.com.
The plans are not included since they are Iain Oughtred's intellectual property. They are available through Classic Marine on the web.
