I'm looking for photos of other Whilly Boats for inspiration. Has anyone some detailed pics to have a look at?

The background:

I've build a Whilly Boat last year, sailed a season and now I think of some improvements, e.g. the main sheeting (I've only teak pillar cleats, very traditonal, but not practical) and may be I add some lead ballast for more stability.

Thanks and regards from Munich / Bavaria

It somehow doesn't seem right to ask for pictures without sharing some in return. Where are the pictures of your boat? :D

Hi Steven,

I'm sorry, I've no web space for presenting my Whilly Boat pics and I don't know another way.

But nevertheless I can send the pics by E-Mail.

Whoever is interested: Send a mail, I return the pics.

Regards

The dog in the bow is really doing a good job as lookout!

STEVE,
I LIKE THOSE SIDE SEATS. ON MY WHILLY BOAT I SIT ON THE FLOOR BOARDS AND IT GETS PRETTY TOUGH ON MY OLD BOD AFTER A WHILE. I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT ADDING SIDE SEATS BUT I HAVE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE THEM REMOVEABLE BECAUSE MY CENTER THWART IS REMOVEABLE. I HAD IT MADE REMOVEABLE SO THAT I COULD SLEEP ON THE THE BOAT. UNFORTUNATELY, THE CURVATURE OF THE FLOOR BOARDS MAKES THAT A PROBLEM. MORE CHANGES NEEDED.

I sit on the bottom of my Shearwater too, I had a couple waterproof cushions made, 1 to sit on, one to lean against. I also have a floatation bladder to lean against when running. I belaive sitting on the floor is safer cause it keeps the centre low.
