Hi, Can anybody fill me on the above boat. I'm looking into a 1980's construct of a design apparently first built in the '40's. She's 30' LOD (I think), 9'6" beam and 5'draft, cutter rigged with a sprit and it appears, a boomkin..

Any feedback gratefully appreciated.

"Built in 1985, replica of '40s Long Island Cruisers. Yellow pine on Oak frames. This pretty little boat is in the water in sailable condition but requires work to cabin sides and above waterline cosmetics. Otherwise very sound (newly re-caulked spring 2001) Standing headroom, enclosed head, all wood interior, new lights, sounder, VHF, Loran, anchor, 5 sails, 1995 Vetus 11hp Diesel. All rigging & spars in great condition."

Probably the same boat you're looking at, because it's the only hit I got on Google.

I've never heard of it. I would guess that it was from the north shore or Peconic as 5' draft is a bit much for the south shore. You might try contacting the Long Island Maritime Museum or the museum in Greenport (East End Seaport?).
