Star power is always good PR, but what the hell is an Austrian-born, American politician doing carrying the Olympic torch for the Canadian-hosted Olympic Winter Games?

EDIT TO ADD: Just heard on CBC that a competitor from Georgia has been seriously injured during a practice luge run at the Olympic track. His sled left the track at approximately 135 kph (84 mph).

Arnie's here because we sent down firefighters to help out with their wildfires, so he came up to help us carry ours. We'll that's the way I see it. The torch was actually taken down to the Peace Arch border crossing and was on US soil for a time. (Of course the border is still in the wrong place.)

As for the bobsled fella. He has died. I saw the footage, he crashed, came right out of the run and landed on some benches and didn't move. Scary looking sport. I'm sure the footage will be on the evening news.
