Torn disc in lower back

What's it mean except for pain and agony

any way of repairing?

Depends on loction. Wife blew the L5/S1 disc 2 yrs ago, (I think I posted about it, maybe not:o) Disc was repaired, but her weight limit is 35 to 50 lbs on a lift, no jumping, twisting or really vigorous exercise. Pretty much screwed her karate, was forced out of the nursing home where she worked. THAT was the bright part - she now works with folks who appreciate her. Get a couple of opinions, talk to others in your area. Surgeon who did my wife's back is part of a large group, 3 or 4 other friends and patients had gone there for similar.

Sorry to hear it.
You might want to call the local professional sports teams, and big time college sports programs and ask who their orthopedic surgeons are. Then call those guys. Their patient have millions of dollars riding on their results, and physical limitations as an option is not on the table.
