simmons sea skiff

I have been looking for a small boat design which would be seaworthy, light, and easily driven with a four stroke outboard. It should have a small cuddy for my wife and daughter's convenience. Lastly, its towing weight (boat, motor, gear and trailer) should be under 35000 lb. I will be using the boat on Buzzards Bay and Narragansett Bay. On good days, I would like to fish off Westport and Newport. The 20 and 22 foot Simmons would seem to fit the bill nicely, but I am not sure of the weight limit. Does anyone have any idea of the weight of either? Any other feedback will be appreciated.

Are you aware of the club, www.simmonsseaskiff.com ? You'll learn a lot there, and there is a wealth of knowledge that will come from this site. If you decide on a 22', I have a set of the drawings that I'll probably never build. Let me know.
