Well kinda.. The new Small Boats by WoodenBoat magazine has a picture of the boat i built, well help build for the Great Lakes Boat Building School.

I went looking for the magazine yesterday but there are no stores that sell even WB so i dont know if there is an article or not.

I looked her over at Irish Boatshop in Harbor Springs where she is sitting while waiting for a new owner - GOOD JOB!

Ain't fame great? I built a Rushton canoe and sent a picture of it to the historical society in Canton, N.Y., where Rushton lived and worked, just to let them know that people still build these things once in a while. The picture ended up in the local paper with a nice little article. As close to "famous" as I'll ever get.

I've been meaning to subscribe to Small Boats, now I definately will.

of course they are building photos i was working when they launched it, and never went back to take pics when it was done (we didnt finish the whole thing).

In order: Freshly caulked (by students), Me fitting the toe rails, and Sole boards being fitted and attached; "break down" Meranti on white oak, AYC bilge stringers, DF sole beams?, NWC sole, khaya toe rails and cabin sides (not pictured),silicon bronze and copper fastenings!
