I got the new issue of Messing About In Boats yesterday and there is a nice article by our own John Bell about two of his newest designs.
Toona is an outboard garvey 15' 10" x 5' 9" and Wishing Blossom is a lug rigged sailing dinghy 11' x 5'.
Lookin' good, John! For the few of our members who might not subscribe to MAIB is there someplace they could go to see for themselves?

Aw, shucks... I haven't got my issue yet, I'm interested to see how much of the stuff I sent him gets published.
I've previously shared these boats on the forum in various threads. I suspect if you went back you could find them.

John,
I will join in with the praise. They look like very nice boats. I did expect a third one to be called "Ala" though. We might argue over several points but you make a logical case for the way you did them.
The naming of "Wishing Blossom" is especially neat. Good on ye.

Thanks, Tom. I'd be interested in discussing your thoughts about the boats sometime over a cup of coffee.
There is a third boat that will come in a later issue, a stretched version of my Blackberry dory. The article and the drawing I sent to Hicks are intended to built directly from the magazine. Call it part of an effort to get more row boats in the world.

errr um is there a chance someone can scan and post the critters?
Somethin new is always worthy for the eyes of the WBF surely?? ;)
