Does anyone out there have a copy of the Oregon dory/skiff plans. This set of plans used to be offered by the now defunct company Texas dory boat plans and it is a 4 in 1 set of plans that can be stretched from 22'to 24',25'4",26'8". H.H.Payson does not have a copy of this plan. I would be most thankful if I could get my hands on a copy!
Thank you

You can get similar plans from Glen-L (http://www.glen-l.com/) or from Ken Hankinson (http://www.boatdesigns.com/) or from Tracy O'Brien (http://www.tracyobrien.com/showcat.asp?id=2) or from Bateau (http://www.bateau.com/) ...
Bateau probably comes closest to the Texas dory.

John Gardener did the plans for the "Pacific City Type Dory," 22'-8" X 7'-9" in January 1976, which I think you are referring to. These plans were sold by Texas Dory as you say, but I seem to recall that they also appeared in National Fisherman in the late 1970's. Since Gardener was Tech Editor of Natl. Fisherman, maybe they can help?
I have one sheet of the 4 sheets sold by texas Dory. It's a blue photo copy 8 1/2" X 11" - got it in a packet from Texas Dory years ago. You're welcome to that one sheet if you wish.

Bennett;
The article our generous sponsor ran a few issues back had a great piece on these dories. I would think that one could generate some plans fairly easily with just a little bit of study. Here's the little secret: keep your planks the same width and with reasonable flair, the bow will rise nicely. These are pretty basic boats that don't take an awful lot to develop plans for. Read the article and make a model out of cardboard. You will soon see some nice shapes as you spread the midsection apart.
