Those outboards look more sophisticated than the ones I saw in China 15 years ago. Looks like the engineering has reached the 1950s.

Great pix, man. Check out the stern on the last pic; doubt it's original to the barge. Any ideas?

The stern looks like it had been attached to the barge complete with the engines and rudders.

Most of the outboards in the pictures are variations of the ambiquitious one cylinder engine that keeps China rolling on the fields, roads, rivers and channels. Probably not in the air, though.
