Anybody ever heard of Tom Hill's Atwood Traveller? I can't seem to find any pictures of it, but have found it on a canoe plan list online.
Thanks,
Patrick

I built one several years ago. Nice canoe. It is essentially a stretched Charlotte.

Check the wooden boat index. There was an article by Peter Spectre several years ago featuring this canoe. Peter bought one and really liked it, based on the article.

What's the difference between an Atwood and the Cavendish?
Thanks,
Patrick

I guess I'm not familiar with the Atwood, but the Cavendish could also be described as a "stretched Charlotte". The Cavendish is in Tom's book ULTRALIGHT BOATBUILDING.
Tom now works on much larger projects, but he can be reached at 166 Ferguson St in Burlington, VT 05401

That's "stretching" it a little, Paul! The Atwood is 15' x 28" beam, literally the Charlotte built with the molds spaced farther apart. The Cavendish is 15'11" x 36" beam, all around a much bigger canoe. The Atwood is strictly a solo, double-paddle canoe.
Cheers,
Dan
