Ritchie is one organization and product that I've always been impressed with. I have a Ritchie compass on my boat and it works well and has given no problems.

Ritchie is good and it's well they remain. I've always had Danforth-White's on my boats and will sorely miss the end of a great name, great product line, and signature for what has been best in US manufactoring.

Good article/ reminder, thanks Hugh. Anyone know a good compass shop in New England? The compensating screws on my 1963 White Constellation are frozen and I fear a costly or irreparable screwup if I try to free them myself.
