Anybody know the current location of a 72 ft. yacht named Pauline? She was built in 1947/1948 as a shrimp carrier and was converted to a yacht in 1988. In 2997 she was at Billings Marine in Stonington, Maine for a rebuild, maybe she is still there. Used to spend time as a charter boat in the Chesapeake and Maine. Hailing port is Philadelphia

She is still at Billings in the water. There was a US marshall no trespassing sign on her this summer. Looking a little neglected.

I believe she was originally built as a sardine carrier here in Maine and converted to a passenger vessel by Ken and Ellen Barnes at the North End Shipyard in Rockland. She never really liked all that superstructure, the hull was designed as a carrier so the weight was supposed to be below deck.
She was a grand old vessel, and I remember when Henry and Swede ran her, the rum and coke was always at hand.
There's a chapter on her in one of Dynamite Payson's model building books.
