View Full Version : A quick look into my bedroom

Here is a look into my bedroom/office at the wonderful fantastic hole in the middle of nowhere that I'm stuck at for a bit.

You see I sleep in a corner of the supply room. Good thing is I have privacy (well kinda of) and I have all the air conditioning and heat that I need. Bad thing is the heat works in the summer and air in winter (LOL).

Just thought I would give you a little update.

Well, the fire extinguisher doesn't look very effective. :p

The waterboard has to serve double-duty.

Seriously? That pillowcase is too tactical for words.

My daughter made that pillowcase for me and if you look it says "I love you Daddy"

Are the bars on the window to keep you in?

cs

This is a supply room, or at least a corner of it. Gotta keep the animals in their cage or the bad guys out, you pick.

BTW I use the fire ext as a door stop.

Thanks. I fixed it. For some reason it came up as a link the first time and I wasn't sure if it was the settings on this laptop or not. But it is fixed now.

There is just something about the idea of a hand-tie-dyed pillowcase that says "I love you daddy", in a deployed sergeant's bedroom, that reminds me that our fighting forces are made up of men and women who love their families very much. Certainly something to keep a little more firmly in mind. And it certainly makes me smile.

Pillow case aside, it's time for a word with your decorator.

No curtains??!!

btw is there a prefered gaffers tape for cinderblock? I bet gorilla tape would work. If the cinderblock is sealed how about drawing little scenes on each block?

You know..Stanley Bailey, world famous manufacturer of foot lockers. I see they gave Chad a ten-year supply of t-shirts, or maybe underpants, can't quite make it out.

Yup that is a pile of sheets and pillowcases, and as you see nobody wanted any, but I had to draw them anyway.

BTW 100mph tape seems to work best on concrete block.

I've gotta dig out a picture of the culvert I lived in with three other guys and a bunch of rats. And a monkey sometimes.
We affectionally called it "The Pig Stye".

"I will guard everything within the limits of my post, and will quit my post only when properly relieved?"

Doesn't say anything about a sixer of Sierra Nevada or RedHook ESB.

Wow. No fun before going, no fun while you're there, and no fun after you come back.

Can't imagine why the Army has a recruitment/retention problem, with this kind of free-spirited madhattery.

Well I did go to the self help store the other day and make me some new artwork for the walls. Granted it is a laminated equipment tracker that I can write on with a dry erase marker, but the wall does have something on it.

Feng Shui in the room seems off, how about a folding screen, maybe a potted plant.

I'd settle for one of these.

You dog faces have it made , bedrooms! You have bedrooms ??

We have berthing spaces!

Of course this is enlisted berthing on Ranger way back in 79 or so. It's gotten better, but not a whole lot better.

Your still in CONUS right?
