Hmmmph, try and tell me tattoos and piercings aren't sexy....

Tattoos and piercings aren't sexy. For eons, the female form has been able to pull sexy off just fine without them, or even makeup for that matter.

It has been so overdone that it is predictable every time you see what would be a fine woman otherwise, wearing a midriff top, just knowing she is trailing the tramp stamp.

Sorry, ladies, but when are you gonna wake up and smell the bacon? Those tasteless crappy tatoos look like spray-painted graffiti on the Taj Mahal. It would be one thing if a tatoo added something that enhanced your God-given beauty, but as art, they are ****e. Just crappy uninspired doodles. There's a reason they call the drawings of what's available in the tatoo parlors "flash." An anchor on your arm or Harley handlebars above your arse... how artistic is that?

25 years ago i bought a house to fix up and resell with a friend of mine.

Well he was the money man and pretty lazy .

His wife was/is a beautiful gal of oriental background, Just like one would think of Black hair and petite.

Well she was/is a worker and helped me rip off the roof.

It was hot so she stripped down to a bikini and ripped away.

My wife was preggers and went for water and lunch and cleaned up a bit.

Well i heard about this for years and years how i had a bikini gal as a helper and had another one pregnant at the same time.

I was just concentrating on getting the roof on.

First off...I agree with Hwyl...in the end I am more drawn to the fully clothed picture. In that picture she looks like a warm, friendly person who would be fun to go sailing with, whereas the stove cleaning picture just says "sex" to me, with little beyond that (leaving aside the text of course).

Digging deeper, what bothers me a bit about the composition of (and amount of makeup used in) all the "scantily clad" calendar photos shown is that they make too much use of the imagery of the porn industry, portraying the women as submissive sex objects rather than sexy seawomen. I can't say that I have made any sort of detailed study of these sorts of calendars, but the best ones I have seen are either simply more "artful" in the poses or downright poke fun at porn-style nudity rather than playing into that imagery (e.g., by including "nude" photos of people of all ages and having the "models" smile as if they are about to laugh at the whole situation rather than looking sultry).

Of course even following the link we can only see a few of the months so it is possible other months take a different tack.

"Turning geriatric"? Not at all Gareth! I think it is just because honest working men beyond a certain age are more accustomed to doing a bit of work to earn their meals. Now move over skipper, it looks like I've got a fair bit of work ahead of me with those snaps, straps and God knows what else under those overalls! :D

I agree with Mr Cleek that women don't need decoration to be sexy. Having said that I don't think it makes them ugly either. Its definitely not my thing, but to each his own. Good music and brains are definite plusses though, although my guess is you and I would define good music differently.:D

so what's all this business about gettin ugly in the mouth about women with tattoos? Considering, especially, that it was a man (I presume, as we have never met...) that determined them to be 'sexy'
so where does anybody get off with this 'sorry ladies, but that look aint workin' nonsense? Further, the first photo shows a tattoo with brilliant colors, suggesting that it is either brand new and real, or fake, a set-up for the shot

regardless, it is a valid point that every day each of us sees someone that is not pleasant to look at. how many of us mouth off in person? Tons, i'm sure.
If ya dont like it, go lean on Senior Member Don, who brought it to us.

I always want to say...hey....she's somebody's daughter. But then I think, well, as long as she's not mine...

I'm actually with Bruce in that I think this is a pretty contrived bunch of photos of some OK looking women who have in the main selected some really ugly tats for themselves.
I like the shots of the Israeli army ladies worlds better than these. Those women are HOT!

I actually don't mind tats on the right people in the right place for the right reason. Most of the ones I see around these days, and all of the ones here on these people, are just plain dreck. It's lousy taste as much as anything else.

"I'm attaching a link of a friend of a friend 'Jack Tar' (her real name is Kim *****) who has a marine blog.....Though the sexy women calendars are also great, her aim is also for maritime community.....thought you might be interested, if anything, see who else is out there in the waters...."

What a bunch of fantastic smiles.

It's been my very limited experience that having a woman in the captain or Mate's slot makes for a much smoother-running boat. I think because no one wants to be the guy who needs to be taken aside and given a talking-to.\

It's also been my slightly less limited experience that women make pretty good deckhands. At least in the riverine tug world, they've got something to prove--or think they do, which amounts to the same thing. Either-how, the work gets done. And if they haven't got the grunt to sling a lock-line and hit a bollard from 25 feet out, or tote a full set of rigging out to the head of the tow, they're smart enough to ask for help. And from what I've seen, working smart beats working hard any day of the week.

sounds good to me...

I'm a vibrant and youthful 42. SWIMPAL's 33; she keeps me young.

Well, that and all the drugs I did when I was younger.

Tats and piercings....nothing more than an extension of the person. If you like attached earlobes and bitchy women and no tats, that's not much difference than liking earthy insecure women with belly piercings but no nose piercings. Hopefully the personality is number one.

I tend to not like trendy anything, but my gf (33, I'm 24 :D ) has lots of tats....unlike what it seems like with many people they've come out of an implacable curiosity and eclecticism rather than the butterfly like the one the hott chic on mtv had.

That being said you can judge a person completely based on your own perfunctory ideas of what tattoos are, of course.

Indeed... to each his own. I like tats. Some tats. I prefer subtle to garish. I prefer subtle to glaring. My favorites are some of the white henna (I think that's right) where the ink is white. Piercings I'm equally fussy about.

I'm amazed to hear that you're invisible to younger women. Must be the vibe you're sending out. I'm older than you, and far less handsome (though Lord only knows what makes a woman decide a fella is "attractive"). I am constantly eliciting interest from attractive young women. Of course, I do flirt with them shamelessly in most of the stores I go into. That seems to be the only place I run into the younger ones these days. And by the time it's time to pay for my shopping, they're asking me for my phone number. Usually as we're chatting while I hand over my check. I always have to explain that I'm happily married, but I appreciate the interest... and we both get a little laugh. I hate to disappoint 'em that way... but a fellow's gotta stand strong sometimes, ya know. I'm just surprised you're not generating similar interest ;)

Dear Good Sir David G.,

I pleases me to no end reading this small bit of good news! I too, like you, elicit attention from the fairer sex much younger than myself.Whenever this happens, I pour on the charm like a thirsty man pouring water. I'm almost ashamed to admit the flirting that goes on,but it does go no further.

Needless to say,but said anyway, it does wonders for ones sense of self. In fact, it almost poisons my two neurons with the most colourful, giddy and intoxicating images of past adventures....that is,until I get home and happen to glance in a mirror! At that point I am left baffled by the earlier attention and left wondering, seriously, what the hell did they see!?Riding shotgun with that question is the terrible realization that despite feeling no more than say,28 years old, the mirror does not lie!!

To cope with this mixed bag of feelings,I've taken to telling myself over and over, the lie that it must be my big tenthumbed hands that gets them to wondering exactly what sort of manual guy I am...though in truth, I've only recently begun to feel at ease with my apposable thumbs.

A good friend once told me to simply enjoy it while it lasts for one day it will all come to an end with about the only time a young woman will stare and smile at you is while she changes your diapers in the nursing home.

I'm doing my best to enjoy the show!!!

Cheers!

Hi Guys,
I never had time to post last month what with a repower and mast being unstepped (6 spars on this foremast!) here on my current vessel. Captain Blight's post about women on river tugs is great, and did I see that someone here nominated a member named "SharkEf?" I'll try and find her.

For some strange reason, Sea Magazine has also published a page about all this, but mostly asking me funny questions:
http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/f813a33d#/f813a33d/79

They left out their question "How are female mariners underestimated?" Because my response was "I didn't know they were."

I'm 36 so probably not part of the target group of young women that some of you would like attention from, and I do agree with the whole "reminds her of her father" turnoff, but even with that all you really need to do is make the girls laugh. Looks and age don't matter much if you can make them laugh.

These women rarely get tattoos and piercings in an attempt to make themselves more beautiful. We get bored, we think it's fun and different, and life's too short to care about being 50 someday and thinking "Oh I wish I hadn't done that!" On the contrary - we can look at it and say "I remember what was going on in my life when I got that one..." My models in particular are extremely confident women who in their world would never assume that they would be identified or judged by something as silly as a tattoo, a piercing, weird or ragtag clothes, etc. Personally, I've lost or broken every piece of jewelry I've ever owned, including the studs I used to put in my nose and ears. My tattoos started out being my replacement for accessories, but now I get them as more of a sailor's tradition. I wouldn't want to attract someone who found me ugly just because I have some tattoos anyway. But for sure the funniest thing said was about Cass being an unhappy person because of all her piercings. If you are a boat person in Seattle you've probably met Cass at Armchair Sailor or steaming planks at the Center for Wooden Boats, and she may very well be the most carefree, loving and outgoing model that I've shot. She's a fun, silly girl with giant cupcakes tattooed on her hips and "Any Port In A Storm" across her abdomen. Judge her if you want, but you'd feel lucky if you were friends with her.

Anyway, thanks for talking about my calendar on your forum! If anyone here frequents facebook I go by "Jack Tar." I'm not moving to Mexico after all - Instead I'm headed to the East Coast in the fall and hoping to work on some great boats out there!

Well damned if I can work it out... I went to the jacktar link wandered around like the proverbial demented chook with its head cut of but buggared if I can find any mention of this thread or the WBF anywhere!! damnitall (no smilies left sorry!)

I'm 36 (Note to fellow shipmates Kim is the PERFECT AGE!! ;) ) so probably not part of the target group of young women that some of you would like attention from, (THEY may think that... I KNOW your perfectly attention seeking material for me ;) ) and I do agree with the whole "reminds her of her father" turnoff, but even with that all you really need to do is make the girls laugh. Looks and age don't matter much if you can make them laugh. (So I found out not that long ago! I feel soooooo vindicated whahooooo!!! )

the high school is across the street from my house but I'd lay money that there are many others willing to house him...the girls will follow him around with his Austrailian accent

If here, I can teach him to fish Arkansas water and ride horses even...lots to do after homework

I have an upstairs I don't use and two bedrooms there

If you want, I'll walk across the street and ask what has to happen (Monday)

Well, 'Jack', you're an interesting sort. And while I do appreciate your art, I gotta tell ya - since it appears most of your subjects (calendar, that is) are about the same ball-park age as my girls.... well, that changes things. Who knew?

I get along well with most of the pharm reps who come through our office - in fact, I've learned I'm one of their favorite clinics to visit - simply because I'm friendly. You'd not believe the reception they get in most other places.

Anywhoo, I tend to take a 'fatherly' approach with the majority of the young female reps - and why not? They're within ten years of my eldest daughter. Some of the stories I've heard, about a few other Docs, have been horrendous - I'm embarrassed for them.

On a very rare occassion, I've had a young woman flirt with me. It never fails to surprise me (I've seen me!;)). I don't find it flattering - rather, it's a 'what did I do (wrong) to bring that on?' moment.

Sigh. Guess I've been domesticated....:D

or - what's that C word, again?

Keep going with that Calendar - have your fun. But keep an eye on your audience!:D

George, I see the magazine as pitching to a somewhat younger autience than the "bulk" of us old sailors/sailor wannabes but that can have a useful effect...when our survivors are stuck with selling off our clocks that ring funny or old boats that don't have huge motors on them, Jack Tar will have a ready bnch of converts with their check books out

Phillip Allen
02-14-2010, 11:37 AM

Wild Dingo

pppppffffftttttt Phillip!!! To paraphrase young Gareth "What a load of old codswollop!!"

Jack Tar the magazine is a magazine designed by a woman (and a stunning one at that... note: gratuitous plug there :p ) for an audience made up of people INTERESTED in or a part of the maritime life... thats all... age doesnt enter into it as far as I can see

Hell most magazines with sheilas in them the damned things are so young they make my youngest look old... at least as Kim says she is of a decent mature age 36 is no young chickybabe!! not over the yardarm by a long shot either just mature women Ive had a bit of a stickybeak at the photos available and I cant see one that is made up to look younger than she is nor one that is immature instead I see beautiful women with maturity not young bits of fluff.

"us old sailor/sailor wannabes" WASH YER MOUTH OUT BOY!!! Damn your not that much older than I am... mmm hang on a tick your WAY OVER THE HILL okay forget that... shes aimed it at us young bloods who are mature enough to appreciate a good lookin sheila whos mature enough to be secure enough within themselves to say "look at the young plastic fluffs if you want boys but you men on watch check these women out" much more bedderah for us "old fellas" in my book... old? Friggin hell mate speak for yerself!!! Im still young!!! hell Im younger now than I was when I was 36 for gods sake fitter too sexier by far and KNOW a fine figured woman when I sees one... and by jimminy cricket sure would like to get to know Kim way bedderah!!!

Hell mate you do yourself no favors when you put yourself down like that... me Im a proud 52 almost 53 year old single bloke who would happily take on any 36 year old young fella for someone like Kim!!

36??? Mature enough to be smart enough to know age really is a state of mind and that it doesnt matter one squashed rats buttcheek in the attraction stakes! and anyways a bloke doesnt mature at the same rates as women do... so I reckon Im now mature enough to hook up with a 30 - 36 year old woman finally and sail away over the horizon into adventure in some beaut woodenboat!!! :D

But hey thats just me you be alone an see the sheilas as too young too hot or whatever me I just see a beautiful mature woman

HEY!!! did you realize that generally speaking the hotter looking a sheila is the more alone they are? true... most blokes are too scared to ask one out because "they are too good lookin for you" "they wont be interested in you" and such but you know given half a chance Id not hessitate to ask a good looking woman out especially if shes between 30 and 36!!! what a great age for a woman... perfect match for a 52 year old bloke cause hes finally caught up with her in the maturity stakes!!! ;) :D

Anyhooo... Id have the calender over me bunk anyday over those other ones filled with young plastic fluff

Yep Wolf Tree... each to their own... you dont like the look of the sheilas in the calender? no wukkers mate you go look at the plastic boobed plastic surgeon enhanced young peices of fluff in penthouse or whatever... me? I LOVE that calender!! best most honest line up of good looking sheilas Ive seen in a long while... I'll take 30 - 36 year old maturity over fluff any day!

Captain Blight

But that's the thing, paul. None of these women are acting like tramps. And so what if they are? They have their own lives to lead, and probably wouldn't thank you for confusing a bit of titillation with the emotional baggage the word "tramp" carries. I imagine what they were thinking was something like, "Hey,I want to show the world that not every woman in a male-dominated field is an unsexy hag." It's just skin, dude. Get over it.

Are there so many of you so hung up, these pictures bother you? How damned old are ya?

And fwiw - ever notice the lil' less 'inhibited' gals are a helluva lot more fun than the prudie types? There's a world of grayscale between Prudence and Town Tramp. I prefer to avoid both extremes - rather like my dislike for LWW and RWW. The middle now... ah, that's about right.

Strike me roan! Sometimes you mob really do surprise me with your word usuage "superiority" and "morality"

Relax... the calender shows NOTHING of any thing that could be termed even loosely "porn" soft or otherwise... a bit of side on boob? a wet T shirt covering boobs? come on!!! strewth you and I both know you can see MORE than that ANY and EVERY TIME you go to the damned beach, swimming pool or pub!! Or do you close your eyes when a good looking woman walks by in a bikini? turn your back when your at the pub and theres a wet T shirt comp on yeah right okay not friggin likely!

These women are good looking women... they have fine bodies... they DO NOT do full on naked TITILATION shots!... Krist Ive worked with sheilas whos tatas have fallen out just because she was wearin a pair of overalls like that but since its friggin hot they leave of the bra and T shirt for comfort... and the boob falls out does that imply shes a tramp or titilating the blokes? SHYTE NO!!!... cop an eyefull of a fine boob? Bloody oath but more than that? no...

get a bloody grip!... the young ones who get into the calenders that leave NOTHING to the imagination who get made up beyond recognition who enhance their bodies JUST to have the totally NAKED photo shoots THEY are the ones titilating the male gender! Gareth could have put up the photo of Kim in her overalls only and Id still think AND say she was gorgeous because she is!! that he put up both shots proves that shes even more so than the first picture shows... either way I think they and her are good looking mature sheilas who should and are proud of their bodies... do they do nude modelling for a living? do they do porn as a living no they live and work the maritime life!! strewth

If one of my 6 girls did a photo shoot like the calender as a MATURE ADULT woman Id be shocked definantly as her father, but hell Id admire her for her choice and pride in her body... as long as the shots are done tastefully and not in anyway demeaning then I see no reason in the photos to be disgusted repulsed or anything else other than as I feel about Kim for having been bold and having enough respect and pride in herself to do something like this... remember as mature adults its THEIR choice... these photos are nothing worse than one can see anyday at the beach and theyre far more dignified to the women in them than MANY others especially the so called more "professional" ones (IMO that is)

Tramps? Because the chose to be a part of a calender shoot? clothed? most body parts covered... come on!!! what a pathetic statement

Amazing the depths some will go to try to prove their superiority and moral high ground... or is that Im still young enough to have the ability to enjoy a good photo shoot layout and mature all natural model?

titilating and tramp? good grief  want to be titilated by tramps? get the penthouse calender there you get it all total titilation by young tramps without dignity or respect for who they are or what their bodies are like... easy as just wander down to the nearest newsagent hand over your few $ and titilate away with the tramp of the month  hell I wasnt even aware or this calender until Dan put this thread up!! and wouldnt have gone looking for one either...

give me a friggin break... titilation and tramps strewth

Ahem... Kim Im still waiting... sigh :D

Donn being the doyen of the WBF word sluething police would be the only one Id ask for clarification IF I NEEDED IT... which I dont

You say the pictures in the calender are porn? Then you have a very low opinion of women in my opinion... but then if you get some sort of sexual gratification from such pictures as are in the calender then you my friend have issues that need to be addressed.

Just bein helpful here  ...dont want you slippin on yer daks tryin to get yer knickers untied from around your knees thats all :D

ahem... and besides that ALL creative activity has value... be it artistic as in the photos of the women in the calender or literary as in the words associated its still creative and has value... as Larks says...
There be the art of the thing. ...Methinks however your taste and creative artistic senses are dictated by your deep seated over rated sense of self opinion of your lack of ability to see a beautiful woman without thinking with your dick first and your brain second

Not sure what photos you're looking at mate, but from what I've seen they are a quite tasteful look at a group of attractive women working in the marine industry. I appreciate that they seem to have had a good bit of fun portraying that they can be both succesful and capable while still being attractive and desirable. There be the art of the thing.

Hey Dingo its funny what you said about the idealness of a 30 to 36 year old lady and your age 52. 5 fens back my grandfather was 52 when he married a 32 year old and 54 when he married another 32.

I'm about 4 years behind you and sure would like to find a good lady of that age and have some childern. just not working out.. I wonder what the upper age limit for healthy child bearing is for a woman? strange thing is I never would of guess kim to be in her 30s. age is so strange some people looking a decade or more younger than they are. then again met a guy tonight I'd ofguess was in his late 50s turned out to be 42
when I was in college a mechanic I worked with would ocasionally grow a beard. with it he looked ready for retirement shaved he looked 25. then again when I was 32 a coworker said he thought I was really old " LIke 35"

ps the photo of kim in the coveralls and sweatshirt sure looks like some one you'd want to have around

Wild Dingo

mate the comments actually quite true in my limited experience (sans marriage) seems to me that prior to 30 most women retain some of the stupid little girl immaturity that some find so alluring but to me is rather pathetic.... but once reached they gain a level of maturity and if you like worldly wisdom that makes them more alive if anything... after about 40ish they tend to become somewhat jaded with the world men in general and have a lot of anger bitterness and disappointment they carry around with them...

Seems to me between 30 and 40 particularily around 35 - 37 they are at their prime with contentedness with life happiness in themselves and looking at life as an adventure to be savoured rather than "ooooh **** another bloody day whatever" donning the tracky pants an flopping around as though the world has deserted them and sit in their mediocraty created by their own lack of excitement imagination and love of life... and hence we see so many obese women with little self respect or self appreciation of who they are what they are what theyve achieved or what they look like... in fact my experience dictates that by 46 or so they have given up caring about their looks altogether.

Now before the pc crew try belting me over the head with the soggy end of a wet dolphins flipper... I DID SAY MOST... and GENERALLY... I did not say all or every lets just aknowledge that right?... alright... having said that there is "wriggle" room... Ive met some incredibly mature and beautiful women of 28 and 29 rarely younger along with some incredibly beautiful women of 50 and more but rarely over 55... life becomes a burden it seems after time.

It could be said it goes the other way as well and thats particularily true of men with seditary jobs mortgages debts etc that they get bogged down in... seems to them that life has somehow passed them by as theyve battled along in the humdrum of "married life"... well thats my experience others will differ no doubt at all

These women in the calender are beautiful not perfect not even trying to promote some sort of feminine perfection of beauty they just are simply good looking women with a zest for life and a pride in self that is in and of itself beautiful... titilating? I can see how some would be "turned on" by the photos but for me its more the beauty of the woman the pride in self the smile and warmth of their confidence in themselves that comes out... yeah Kim has nice boobs no too ways about that but they are not perfect or she would have had a boob job and become one of the plastic fluffs that we see all the time no shes proud of her body AS IT IS as are the other women in the calander and thats an awesome thing mate that is rare to find now a days

Yep the one of her in the overalls and beanie is by far the more outstanding photo IMV of course... that smile is bloody brilliant reaches right into her eyes and knocks you arseup in a flash... man it would be brilliant to cop that in person I reckon

As to the age looks thing... mate I have a beard and most reckon it ages me by 10 years (I think its cause its so bloody white santa type thing... and I think its bull**** personally cause it makes me look sooooo wise, handsome, debonair, pirate like etc etc ) I take it of and leave a goatee or a fu manchu and it knocks 10 years of whip it all of and I look about 35... but shave it off completely then dye the mo eyebrows and hairline dark and I look about 30!!! looks are deceiving for sure

Actually the beards there simply cause I cant be buggared shaving!! the hair bein a curly mess is simply cause it is plain unruley cant do a bloody thing with it... and up here in the tropics its worse than ever!!! brush it nice an good two seconds later it SPROIGS!!! curls... so I got over it... it can stay a mess and be done :D mmmm I MIGHT have a shave if I was asked to by some fine figured sheila... maybe!!! ;)

And fwiw - ever notice the lil' less 'inhibited' gals are a helluva lot more fun than the prudie types?

That's simply not true in a stereotypical sense. I figured when I met my current gfriend, with no tattoos or any outward displays of her freak side and I figured, ok, I'm older now and it's time I settled down anyway. Once I got to know her, I could tell there was something exciting within and I was right. The time she doesn't spend advertising her 'dare to be different, living on the edge' banners, is time she spends thinking of ways to turn my world upside down and the realization that I needed to do more sit ups, quit smoking and eat better. We have more fun than I did with the wild chicks, including my ex, whom half the time I ended up trying to figure out who they were on any given day or who they were going to morph into months down the line and much of which was not much fun at all.

George Jung

Well, that's simply not true - your 'interpretation' of what I mean by 'less inhibited'. Same with the tats - no interest to me, but... what's the person really like, is.

Too much projecting our own prejudices, whether on other people or simply on what they write. Boils down to YMMV.

Indeed... to each his own.

Meant to respond to this when I first saw it, but I got busy. Some of it is in no small part due to being relatively shy. I was piss-poor at flirting when it was important to me, and now being married for almost 26 years I don't even bother. Jimmy Buffett's line "Just trying to get by being quiet and shy in a world full of pushin and shove." always spoke to me. Not that he could understand what its like, mind you.

Hi Guys,

- Kim

Thats the reaction I have when I hear a song from my younger days. I have thoughts of whatever was going on in my life when that song was important to me. I'll make some comment about, "We played that when we were going on such-and-such roadtrip!" And SWMBO will say something like, "You can remember that from 1977 but you can't remember to do whatever she asked me to do that morning!" Can't win with a steel sieve memory like mine.:D

Cheers,

Bobby

I have a good buddy who, in the last year or so, has had his hands and arms covered with tattoos. It tickles me to see the reaction he gets when he starts talking about some of the highly technical things in which he is an expert and watch people who don't know him stare in fascination/dislike/terror at his 'illustrations'. I could never do it, but I think it's kind of neat that he can.

As my Sweetheart sez, 'Boy, Howdy!'
At 61, I will tell you, it (all of it) is better than it has been. (I chose to leave the word 'ever' out) I am consumed by an active, creative woman who knows what the driver's seat feels like. Like a panoramic vista, I see the next 39 years unfolding before us.
The fact that she teaches second grade notwithstanding.

Thanks Switters for buying the calendar! That's Diana next to a big old steam engine aboard the last floating lightship on the West Coast. She's a maritime archival specialist.

Sorry it took me so long to friend you on FB, Shane. I am pretty busy. If I make the big time can I hire you as my PR guy? I love your posts.

All but two of my models have college degrees. Two have PhD's. The one on the horse breaks and trains clydesdales as well as doing bosunry on old wooden boats. You can see her in action if you own the special edition DVD of the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I never use models who are more well known for their sexual conquests than their maritime achievements. They've all been raised in healthy environments, not made to be ashamed of their bodies. I believe the reason they don't see the harm in it is because they avoid folks who perpetuate judgmental and uptight behavior, including their fathers, who would obviously play the most important role when it comes to not creating thoughts of shame and general creepiness when it comes to how they think of their bodies or men.

It's an old debate - do what's safe, fun and what you want to do, or base your decisions on whether or not you can help rid the world of deviant male behavior? It's OK to look. Really. What you do with your thoughts when you see a sexy woman is up to you and your hopefully healthy conscience. As was mentioned above, none of these shots are soft porn. My rule is no exposed privates! Even if the model is willing!

Don't defend the calendar or the women in it. some will see it for what it is worth to them and the spirit it is intended and others will not. If they see it as soft porn or painted hussies or whatever that's their problem, not yours. Since this came up I've been visiting your blog, neat stuff there.
